2024-07-12

On July 6, 2024, in the heart of the Parisian summer, Airdom and Jordan celebrated the launch of the new Luka 3 at the La Poste du Louvre store.

The event brought together the French community in the name of sport, fashion, and street culture: young athletes, top coaches, special guests, and fans had the chance to explore the innovative design of Luka Dončić’s new shoes, experiencing exciting moments through training, tournaments, and interactive activities that celebrated energy and team spirit.

Relive the Airdom and Jordan Event in Paris

Luka’s Garage: the concept behind the event

Those who know us understand that our goal is to go beyond the court, revealing the untold sides of athletes. This is why we chose to dedicate the concept of the event to another great passion of Luka Dončić, the athlete who inspired the featured shoes. Recognized as one of the best in his sport and a car enthusiast, “Luka’s Garage” is a tribute to this star. The event invited friends and fans to step into his “garage” to share the new colorway of his signature shoes and spend the day together.

The teaser that lit up Paris: the 1968 Camaro

To build anticipation, the day before the event, a Jordan, Luka 3, and Airdom-branded car showcasing the colors of the new Jordan performance model drove through the most iconic streets of Paris. From neighborhoods where true streetball culture was born to the heart of the city, the car carried our special guests, Rookicks, Elias, and Laura, three talents from the French street culture scene.

The 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is one of Dončić’s favorite models, which he even used to announce the release of his third signature shoe during the third game of the first round of the playoffs between the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers, creating a show within a show.

The car’s tour concluded at the center of the basketball court in front of our store, where it became one of the stars of the event.

Special coaching and the 3x3 tournament: pure basketball

One of the most anticipated moments of the event was the top-tier coaching offered by two talented and experienced coaches: Melissa Diawakana and Howard Frier. The participants, selected from the communities of the three special guests Rookicks, Elias, and Laura, had the opportunity to improve their skills and learn new approaches inspired by Luka Dončić’s game. This was followed by a thrilling 3x3 tournament, where Parisian streetball athletes, wearing the Jordan Luka 3, competed in an exciting challenge inside Luka’s Garage. For the winners, a final surprise awaited, hidden right in the car’s trunk.

The special guests and community engagement

The three talents from the world of basketball and French street culture, Rookicks, Elias, and Laura, accompanied us from the teaser to the event with their characteristic positivity and enthusiasm, which make them so beloved by their communities.

To complete the scene: music and food

The day wouldn’t have been complete without Airdom-style entertainment. A Parisian DJ blended urban beats with engine sounds, keeping the energy high and the celebration alive. Alongside this was a “fuel station” serving smoothies and energy drinks, giving participants a much-needed recharge. The atmosphere, filled with music and street culture, turned the event into a true happening.

We are proud to have brought to life, thanks to the invaluable collaboration with Jordan, an event that combined passion and sport, inspiring the next generation of athletes and enthusiasts.
