Airdom Academy expands across Italy and France

2024-09-26

Airdom Academy has had an incredible year in 2024, with its project dedicated to young basketball players offering training, contests, and activities designed to improve skills and share a passion for the game.

After six successful editions in Bormio, Airdom Academy expands its training program to three new cities: Rome, Cusano Milanino, and Elancourt, just 30 km from Paris, France.

Along with these new locations, we continue to enhance the basketball camp experience by offering specialized training focused on individual skill development. After investing in equipment like shooting machines and introducing skills sessions for the first time last year, we’ve decided to further highlight this area with a coach solely dedicated to technical training.

This year, we successfully trained over 1,400 boys and girls, an achievement that we consider the most significant milestone.

THE THREE ITALIAN CAMPS: BORMIO, CUSANO MILANINO, AND ROME

Training sessions, contests, tournaments, vertical sessions focused on specific skills, Girl’s Weeks, and shared activities: the summer camps held across Lombardy and Lazio brought together young basketball players aged 6 to 18 for a wonderful full-immersion basketball experience under the guidance of top-tier coaches.

AIRDOM CAMP COACHES

We’ve carefully selected high-level coaches to offer Airdom Academy participants the opportunity to train with the best. Leading the athletes in the four summer camps were professionals with vast experience and recognized international expertise.

EXPANDING BEYOND BORDERS WITH THE FRENCH CAMP

This year, Airdom Academy launched its first international program in France, in Elancourt, a strategic location near Paris.
The first edition outside of Italy saw the participation of Italian and French athletes who shared the court in a truly formative experience, both technically and personally.
The ambition to expand our Academy to France is driven by a desire to unite basketball enthusiasts from Italy and France, helping to build an even stronger and more cohesive community of players.

SPECIAL GUESTS AT THE FRENCH CAMP

Alongside athletes and coaches, several special guests made the first French Camp even more memorable. Among them were Adam Mokoka, a French professional player with NBA experience at the Chicago Bulls; Aby Gaye, a French professional player; Hugo Mienandi and Yvann Mbaya, both promising players on the French U20 national team.

We extend a heartfelt thanks to the Elancourt community and especially Arsone Mendy: his tireless efforts and valuable support were instrumental in bringing the camp to France.
