THE HISTORY OF URANIA BASKET MILANO

It all began in 1952 when a group of young men, including Urania's founder, "Nino," traveled to the United States, to Lexington, where the passion for basketball permeates every corner. They were particularly struck not only by the skill of the famous university team from the town, led by the legendary coach Adolph Rupp, but also by the strong and engaging presence of those athletes who wore a "wildcat" on the back of their blue and red uniforms.

"The elegance of the Kentucky University basketball players struck me, especially with their white satin suits, then unknown in Italy, where we still used fleece or wool ones."

It was love at first sight for Nino, and it served as a real inspiration in his quest for the visual identity he sought for Urania. The players, small and agile, reminded him of the elegance and performance of the wildcats so common in Kentucky but so unique in Milan.This distinctiveness has characterized the Milanese team over these 71 years of sporting and social success. Indeed, the team not only makes a difference on the basketball courts but also within the community, thanks to numerous educational and charitable actions.

THE CO-DESIGN OF URANIA BASKET MILANO'S NEW UNIFORMS

As a sponsor, we started from here, from the wildcat emblem and the blue and red team colors, to redesign the new uniforms of Urania Basket Milano. Alongside the original logo and palette, an extremely elegant graphic element has been added, depicting the symbol of Milan framed by six stars. The cathedral represents the team's roots, its connection to the city, and the six stars symbolize the aspiration to always aim higher and continue to dream big. The result is a uniform that stands out for its sophistication and uniqueness, which will be provided by Airdom to all team athletes and sold in our stores.

THE PARTNERSHIP WITH URANIA BASKET MILANO

Airdom will not only provide the uniform but will also stand by Urania Basket Milano for the new season, supplying the complete kit to all members, from uniforms to bags and accessories.
